Delivering Donated Items to Hamomi

Delivering Items

to Hamomi

Free delivery! This project has equipped all of our students with more items than we would be able to afford or justify spending money on. We would not have been able to buy them each more uniforms, clothes, shoes, sunglasses, backpacks, frisbees, cards, hackie sacks, coloring books, crayons, books, pens, pencils, sharpeners, erasers, medical supplies, notebooks and much more, when we are still working hard to pay for food, water and other necessities.

On this page are pictures of various deliveries over the years.

Sacred Heart Elementary Uniforms carried by volunteers and delivered in February, 2009

Each student received a backpack donated by Double Tree, delivered by volunteers in July, 2009. Each backpack had a frisbee, hackie sack, deck of cards, pack of crayons and activity book inside!

Art class began in September, 2009 when Jamie gathered many, many donations from across the country for her trip to Nairobi. Huge thanks to the Neoart School.

Students looking sharp in their new sunglasses donated by the Johnson family in Sept, 2009. Not only cool looking, but also help to protect eyes from the harsh sun, wind and dust which often cause irritation and infection.

A box of Lego-esque toys were donated by the NeoArt School in Seattle. The kids had never had toys like this before just to build and be creative with.

Passing through Nairobi?

If you (or anybody you know) will be in Nairobi for even a day, please contact us! You can carry a bag of items that are needed at Hamomi and also have a life-changing, meaningful experience during your travels.
